Our passion is bringing The Past Present
Complicated craftwork is our expertise
Surpassing the Expected
An artistic venture by Shari Francis and Kaine Asika. SHAI endeavors to create bespoke and groundbreaking designs through the simplicity of forms and crafted patterns while combining both of their visual identities. Their passion lies in bringing the past present, in bold new ways. All the while striving to surpass the expected.

The latest design, The Haystack Chair is another design inspired by Jamaican traditional basket weaving. With it's clean, minimalist form, the Haystack is truly a standout piece.

Our core product , The Legacy Bench is inspired by Jamaican traditional basket weaving and minimalist form, Legacy unites contrasting traditions to create
a functional handcrafted bench. Traditional and modern wood joinery techniques are used to
support the comfort of the oval and flat reed weave. Each weave is one of a kind. Each bench is
uniquely different in form, material, and weave.

The Door is the entry way to the home, and the Anansi door is a call back to stories of needing the stars to navigate the seas. The overlapping star pattern forms a literal web of a grid, giving a subtle nod to it's namesake character.
